Eurosonic's Montero 2.5Gen Build Thread

I'm disappointed that ARB doesn't include recovery shackle mounts on their ARB bumpers.

So I welded some mounts that I made out of 1/2inch plate.

I installed the AWD sport front axle assembly as well, such an awesome upgrade. No more vacuum nonsense, it just works.

Good work!

What's the issue with the factory Gen 2.5 front assembly? I'm not familiar...?

If you look at my earlier post you can see that gen 2.5 have additional shifting mechanism along with vacuum lines that run to the diff.

thanks, I agree. BTW did you do anything to fix the flashing front 4x4 lights?

I don't know, i'm either really used to it or i made it just stay solid. it's been so long since i did the swap i can't remember, and it's been since fall that i've wheeled that truck. I'll have to check that out.

Dmitry, you seem to be confused about the nature of your rig. It does not actually have a propeller....

My rear end floated down the river for little bit. I got some traction with my front and managed to get out. I'm thinking of doing the propeller retrofit coming out of the rear diff.

Speaking of Diff's, there's an excellent chance you submerged your breather tubes. Have you checked for fluid in the lines after that little puddle crossing?

Everything is extended.

Here is a vid that my buddy shot on his quadcopter
