Eurovan Blu.O (2.0)

Not intimately familiar with Eurovan suspension but the 'threaded rod' bushing press has saved lots and lots of cuss words and sweat beads from being expelled around my place. Ford TTB pivot bushings, Miata control arms, etc etc etc. One of those tricks that once learned, gets used more than you'd expect, more in fact, than my big shop press especially for bushings

I see a lot of pressing and cursing in your future.
BTDT.

I've used that for other things. I may have to try it on al Hede bushings.

I'm not rea excited about the install, but this van needs it and I'm excited about the results.

I'll have to remember the threaded rod next time I'm at the store.
I miss having a good powerpack and a full set of dies at my disposal.

Powerpack destroyed a pair of miata control arms in the hands of a rushed youth. Threaded rod can't really do that plus it's portable and cheap. My 3' pieces of rod and hardened washers and nuts (tack welded 1 into a wrench bent 90°) and 6" pipe nipples go everywhere whereas my portapower stays home in its oily case. Handy for everything from dirtbike swingarms, leaf springs, swaybars, even use them as clamps and a coupling nut makes them 6' long when needed.

Here is a teaser shot of the front bed board/ceiling. Blue pine. Will test fit in the van tomorrow when it's done.

wow- gorgeous! Those blues/yellows really "pop" in this color scheme.

Nicely done!

What thickness is the wood? Does it add much weight?

Thanks. Should look really good when I get the curtains and upholstery done!

The stock wood is 5/8" thick. This is just slightly less.

The pine is actually much lighter than the stock set up. Which should make it much easier to lift.

We are actually going to abuse this piece a bit just to make sure it's strong enough to "not worry about" kids bouncing on.

Did you put a subfloor down under the rubber floor? What is under it?
Looks like the rubber floor takes the compound curves around the threshold well.

Nice job on the woodwork.

There is nothing under the wood/vinyl floor.

The vent not he front is for the rear heat.

Cut another floor today from my templet to ship to another Eurovan owner. Kinda excited to see how his van turns out.

Gotta be better looking hardware than that on its way, right? Your work is so detailed I find it hard to believe stainless button-heads or nickel 12 pts or somesuch aren't going there (1st pic). Is the black doohickey (not a KLR part, obviously) the mounting stud for a gas strut, a snap retainer for the keeper strap, or...?
