EXCELLENT Customer Service at Discount Tire

I just wanted to share my very good experience with the Reno, NV, Discount Tire store.

In preparing to take delivery of my Bobcat Shell next month,I was upgrading my tires to E-Rated Cooper AT/3s at my local Discount Tire store here in Reno. Since my old tires were still in good shape, I told them that I wanted to save them for another vehicle.

As I was unloading my old tires that evening, I noticed that their tire machine must have punctured the sidewalls of two of them and they were damaged beyond repair.

I called the store manager and was fully expecting to get a lot of push back and hassle in getting the situation resolved, but much to my surprise, the store manager immediately offered to give me four brand new tires absolutely FREE, no questions asked.

I went to the tire store the next day and within ten minutes, I had four new tires to replace the ones they accidentally damaged.

My entire experience with Discount Tire was great and I just wanted to let everyone who may be considering a tire purchase know that DT took care of me!

+1 on Discount Tire. I have always tried to price shop them and I can never find it cheaper where it was worth it to order online. Always nice to have someone local you buy tires from for service after the sale. I've bought 5 sets from them in the past 4-5 years. The only complaint I have ever had was I was going to have them swap tires on two vehicles but the ones on the truck were 10 years old and it was against store policy to touch tires that are that old. The tires were in excellent shape, not weather checked and had great tread. So I just went down the road and gave Les Schwab my $200. No big deal... I will still buy tires from them again. Great customer services and really fair prices.

That's what I call going above and beyond! Awesome. I'm in the market for tires soon, I may have to give them a shot.

We have ordered three sets of tires out of the California Discount tire and have always been more than pleased with their service and knowledge. We were excited to get a couple of local stores but they have turned out to be idiots (seriously). We have since then order several more sets from CA and just have them shipped to us.

My family has 7 drivers and many many cars over the years and we have always used Discount. Life long customer right here. They're always respectful, fast and have pretty good prices.

Both of my vehicles have tired from Discount. They were nice enough to spin my rims to see which ones were bent (all of them). Then spin the replacement rims (half were bent). The spin the replacements for the replacements.

I just wish they did alignment as well.

FWIW, I only buy wheels/tires at Discount Tire. I've always been happy with them. And every time I decided to try somewhere else, I was reminded exactly why I always went to Discount/America's Tire!

+1 for Tire discount. They gave me a free 33" Duratac. I had purchased 5 of them for my X and one punctured months after. I didn't have insurance on them or anything. Definitely going back.

I buy my tires from them as well with the exception of my wife and daughters cars. Discount is great but they do not do service work. When I'm out of town and one of the girls has an issue I need a repor with a full service provider. We use Fletcher tire on Carefree hiway in Phoenix. They are great. Just last week a check engine light was constantly flashing on the kids Jeep. She took it there and they called me. I said fix it all up and for $757 I got plugs, one coil, coolant recovery tank, air filter, breaks throttle body clean and injector service. I can't spend all day and search out all those parts that cheap. She smashed the tranny pan so bad it leaked and they just beat it back and charged for a $79 tranny service. She paid for that one. Lol

Anyway keep that place in mind if you travel down the 17 in AZ and you get in a bind. It's 1/4 mile east onCarefree Hiway and the I17.

Add me to the 'happy Discount Tire customer' group! Only one dealing, last fall with new Coopers for my F-250. Shopping online and local, their price was unbeatable. Actually ordered the tires and set up the appointment online. We don't have a Discount Tire locally, so scheduled it for a time I was going to be in the city (they are located) anyway. Will certainly look to them first for my next tires, whatever vehicle I'm shopping for.

I have been buying tires from these guys since my first truck at 16. Hands down have never had any issues. Aways match internet pricing.

Overall...They are the only place i buy tires from!

I only buy tires from discount tire, perfect service and they do free rotations. In so doing, they hustle. Great business, wish there were more like them.

When I had my F-250 and needed new tires I went by the local DTC. The sales guy remembered me from the one other time I had been there and told me that he had a deal for me. He remembered that I wanted the Michelin in the 285/75x16 and a guy had just come in the day before and bought a set but decided later in the day he didn't want them. The sales guy offered them to me for half price. I immediately said yes and when he tried to ring it up, they weren't there. The guy that I held the door open for and let in line in front of me bought them. The sales guy then gave me 30% off a brand new set.

We only use discount tire: for tires, rotations and one that needed a plug.
They will also rotate your tires free regardless of where you bought the tires.
We take all of our new cars there for rotations until they need new tires.
Never once had an unpleasant or unfair experience there.
My wife bought a vehicle with $1800 worth of tires that you can't rotate (staggered directional run flat) and that only last 14k miles.....so we see them once every two years on that one.
Sit in the parking lot and be the first person in the door, you will be out of there pretty fast.
They have good magazines in the waiting room.
