Expedition One Rear Bumper

Very sorry to hear about the ‘ordeal’ you’re going through...frustrating would not begin to describe it.

I appreciate you taking the time to share this with the forum as I was looking at the Expo One vs. Buckstop rear bumper and carrier; not sure their are any other Ram options.

Best of luck.

Are those marks from your install or were they there from shipping?

It was OK when it arrived,it was not handled roughly during installation, some of the marks appear to be wear like the mark next to the hinge.I wonder if they " forgot" to clean the bumper prior to applying the powder coating? Kind of like they "forgot" to remove the races after fitting.

Expedition One is challenging my chargeback. They don't return phone calls and have been radio silent since September. They claim that I did not respond to the cancellation in writing and that they've been trying to call me. Neither of which is true. They also claimed my bumper is finished. I wonder why if my bumper is finished and I never responded in writing to cancel the order they haven't shipped it to me? For whatever reason they feel like I owe them $2200 despite not having actually delivered a product to me. Fortunately I saved all of my email and call logs.

What a clown show, buyer beware.

Wow, this has gotten worse than I had thought. It looks like this is becoming all too common in this industry.

It's not over.

Terms and Conditions of Sale At Expedition One we require payment at time of order. Custom and special order items and production requests that may require longer assembly time require a 30% non-refundable deposit at time of order and balance due prior to shipping. Standard, non-custom orders may be canceled within 72 hours prior to shipping, but may be subject to a 2% cancellation /re-stocking fees as determined by Expedition One.

They have now changed their website to 10-14 week estimated delivery from 9-12 and a mandatory 10% restocking fee for any cancellation. The cancellation policy when I placed the order was "...may be subject to a 2% cancellation fee...". They're claiming to the CC company they'll refund my money minus a 3% restocking fee. Their cancellation policy at the time of order was 2%...and what exactly are they restocking since there isn't a bumper?

I wonder how this miserable excuse for a company stays in buisness in the internet age? I saw on youtube that Expedition One was hawking their stuff at SEMA. PT Barnum still lives.
When people ask me about the bumper I show them the backup sensor hole that was clocked differently than all the others, that gets their attention. Then I mention the powder coating, then the waiting time, the run around, and I finish off with the "out of packing foam"line.

Might as well make a profit from all the folks that cancel when they realize they are being taken for a ride.Heck of a business model they got going there at Expedition One.

Sad........ I was so hopeful :( But maybe there is some great family tragedy within their company leadership, perhaps all their employees quit at the same time - several times, maybe their suppliers continue to stiff them on the materials they need to bring their product to market. Nooooo? But perhaps its a taxation issue and they are in fact taxed for product on the shelf "pre sale" and not for what they actually sell ! soooo, they don't want to overstock. Maybe their toyota line is selling so well that the full size RAM2500 line just is not worth the investment, that could be it. OR, perhaps, small little aliens have landed on the top of their warehouse and continue to sabotage everything they do, but they are so small and so smart that they just can't seem to stop them and everyone knows that exterminators and I quote "do not deal with small little aliens who have landed on your roof top" ........ lolol I suppose the last is just about as likely as the first ;) your welcome

honestly with as expensive as they are, it shouldn't be a 100% buy in up front, a deposit would be a better bet. I would imagine they're using peoples "deposits" to finance production before the product is delivered
