I am having a local shop install the bumper,it would have been completely installed today except for some difficulties. We were looking for the bearing races, they were already installed, they were rough as sandpaper,I had to order new races, they won't be in until Tue.
I ripped this picture from marshal's thread to describe another problem. When the silver colored plate next to the hinge was being installed the installer thought the screws were a little to short, not going all the way through the nylocks,a trip to the hardware store solved that.
I was looking around under the truck at the stock license plate lights,it looked like they would reach the holes in the bumper if I cut a couple of factory zip ties and rerouted the wires. They reach,it's too bad Expedition One didn't design the holes in their bumper to accept the stock lights.I have them Gorilla taped in place as a test, until I figure out the best way to illuminate the bumper,I can drive it if I need to.
The next problem is the holes Expedition One cut in the bumper for the backup sensors.Three are on the same axis, the fourth hole, on the far right passenger side, is cut differently,it's tilted a few degrees off from the other three.I suspect it will effect the detection angle of the backup sensor.
The next problem is mine,I don't know how to get the backup sensors out of the stock bumper,so I asking for some tips in getting them out in one piece.
