I had the wonderful good fortune to run into Clay's dad at the airport in Billings yesterday. That was a pretty awesome experience. While waiting for a plane, we had the opportinity to discuss his son's plans and overlanding in general. What an affable guy.
As for news, the team has been a bit delayed in their departure, but are hoping to get on the road today.

They have their website: xoverland.com, and I doubt, for the sake of the show, that they're going to keep us updated as to their adventures, it would ruin the surprise

Since they are now on the road I think it will be sometime before we see the finished build pics/steps or get any questions answered. It is kind of a bummer cause I have been sitting on pins and needles hoping to see the rest but I guess all in due time. They have asomewhat narrow window to catch the right season for this expedition and I can't wait to see both the finished thread for the build as well as the accompanying webisodes on xoverland.

Fair enough. I was just trying to nudge this one along, as I wondered the same thing. It was a little disappointing to see a few people ask about it and after reading through the entire thread, find there was a complete derailing of the thread discussing the need for guns, but no real answer on that question. Guess I'll wait for the finished thread and webisodes as well.

Thanks for the update. Any idea when we can expect the new episodes to start coming out? Will they be able to produce some while they are still on the road or will it have to wait for them to come home?
