I find it sad that this thread started out so great and then got hijacked so many times that it was abandoned. I really was looking forward to the rest of this build thread. Maybe we will get lucky and they will post something on their site.

Agreed, it was nice meeting Scott, Rhonda and Rachelle at OXEast (sorry Clay, you were busy chatting up the guy from Schutt).

Scott, thanks for the Q&A on the dual battery setup.

Looking forward to next season!

What are you running for truck to truck communications CB or VHF/UHF radios and handhelds as well?

Thanks

Central America, looking forward to it!
Enjoyed our random talks at Expo East, you are a fun group of folks to chat with.

The Tacoma performed this trip with the stock tank. AT the time our LRA tank was setup for a sport not a TRD and the Diff actuator motor got in the way of the install. It was a big bummer. Post trip we have removed that axle and put in the bigger 8 inch gears and an ARB air locker. (we wanted the added reliability of the bigger diff in the end and would in hind sight buy the sport.) Anyway, that allowed us to put in the LRA fuel tank and we have been rocking on that since october. Its added 10 more usable gallons and has been a cherry upgrade!

Clay-

When you say "Sport", do you mean TRD Sport? I just bought a 2011 TRD Sport and want to install a larger tank. Which model did you use as I cannot find any for the Tacoma. And it appears that your links for the site no longer work.

Unfortunately, Outback Proven closed shop. Ben Meadows did tell me last spring that the LRA fuel tank will work with the e-locker rear end, despite XOs experience. I don't know if the design was updated, or what.

I can't wait to see y'all's next trip! Watching y'all is not only inspirational but very informative. You guys seem like a great group of folks I'd love to meet one day.
