Hahaha…. Thanks, I think….
Yea she’s going to be a real beauty, and what I hope is a truck that doesn’t require modifications or any farther work to be ready. As I mentioned at some point I may buy the winch kit but it bolts right in and I already have the provisions that make it possible, dual battery’s and alternators so it should just be a matter of pulling off the front and bolting it in, watching a few YouTube videos it seems pretty straightforward. I certainly would have liked that option to come installed but I guess I can’t have everything. This should be the dream setup, but its going to be funny having this on order while driving to Tuk in a Rav4. Hey at least I’ll save a small fortune on gas.

The RAV's are nice. We looked at a 2022 before picking up a Bronco Sport. Personally, I probably would've picked the Rav. But, doesn't really matter to me as I never drive that vehicle.

We really are spoiled with our choices in the truck market in North America.

You can pretty much get a truck from the factory to suit any purpose.

I'm sure the Rav will be more than capable to go to Tuk.

You’re correct. 13.33A at 120V is more than 30A at 12V, but seeing as with a charger you’d be converting from DC to AC and than back to DC to charge the battery that is very inefficient.
Yep, super inefficient. Only advantage I see is that 120v cabling is much smaller than the equivalent 12v. Or if your trailer already had a 100amp battery charger/converter installed.
Not the correct solution for you, but it could be for someone else.

Nice lookin truck! I've got a caribou brown 2016, and it just doesn't look nearly as sharp as the new F350s (or even the 2017s).

Best color. Loved caribou! I wish you could get it with the sport pkg. I would've ordered it in a heartbeat instead of grey.

Closest now is stone grey. Which you still can't get on a sport (don't want chrome). You can get it on an F150 Tremor. But you can't get the Tremor with Max Tow, Tow mirrors or 6'5" box. Wish I could justify a Super Duty like the one being ordered above, haha

So this is a full size thread so I won’t go off topic long. But yes we LOVE the little Rav4 Adventure model, we added Falken Wildpeaks to it and an iKamper mini 3.0. Tossed in a fridge and Dometic battery we already had and took off the the farthest point East you can drive in all of North America. Lived out of it for 3 weeks it was great! First picture is from the first sunrise in North America second is a little bit of a poser pic but the Rav4 was was driving down on the ocean floor in the Bay of Fundy. Cool stuff! Thank you all for the kind words about the truck. I appreciate it!

I got a 2022 F250 Tremor and will be picking up my Supertramp camper later in July. I upgraded to the Carli Pintop suspension with 37s + the Carli HD leaf spring pack (1,800-2,000 lb). I heard a lot of stock Tremor shocks going bad early, but that was not the reason for me going with Carli. The truck drives significantly better since the upgrade. I am having airbags installed in July + the Hellwig Sway Bar. Once I have my camper I'll start a separate thread to go through my build.

Excellent, If you think of it post of link into this thread so I can follow along with yours. I'm honestly quite surprised to hear your adding airbags, my thought was that the F250/350 would probably ride better with the camper in the bed of the truck than without, but I will be playing close attention to your build. I can always to suspenion down the road if it needs be, of course if the stock Ford shocks fail and I haven't changed them Ford will be giving me some new ones! How long did your order take? If you ordered? Mine is still not even to the getting built state and I'm getting a little nervous to be honest. Can't wait to see your truck, hey if you think of it, post a picture up on here of yours lifted. Thanks!

Well, after two and a half months of waiting finally got the email from Ford stating my build is “Scheduled” supposed to begin on June 19th. So with any luck I should have that part of the puzzle by late summer. I’m pretty excited to know the truck is actually going to be built. I was getting a little nervous.

I've done some photography work for Supertramp and had the luck to see the original, beta version as well as the new production model. In my opinion, the Supertramp is the best camper on the market, hands down. The attention to detail, the build quality and the thought they've put into every single component/design decision/feature is second to none. Super clean exterior, the interior is the most open and roomy of any slide-in I've ever seen, tons of storage, the mattress is comfy, allllll the windows in the soft top walls...it really is a one of a kind. My only complaint is the fridge. It's small, and there isn't an option to go bigger.

We've got a 2021 F250 w/ a flatbed FWC and while we really enjoy it, I'd replace it w/ a flatbed Supertramp in the blink of an eye - if only such a beast existed. To top it all off, the owners are some of the nicest, most humble and genuinely good people you'll ever meet. I'd be willing to bet that once you experience the Supertramp camper you'll lay out a deposit on it pretty quickly.

Agreed, we ordered ours back in March and flew out to meet the crew/ spec the camper. After looking at every brand we could find Supertramp was head and shoulders over the rest for storage and livability, not to mention build quality was amazing. Ours is supposed to be finished in November.

After way too much research and consideration, I reached the same conclusion: the Tremor/Supertramp combo is probably the best fit for me as well. I've been thinking that the F250 will provide enough payload since the ST is relatively light as slide-in campers go. I'd like to hear your thoughts on this- why did you decide on the F350 instead?

Good morning.

I definitely agree. We looked at them all, Supertramp really stands out, and after visiting the shop and talking to the owners, while they do bill the camper as 1/2T capable they said the Tremor is beginning to be the truck of choice for a lot of there recent builds….

Anyway as to why I went F350 v. F250

From what I gather on the tremor forum’s and perhaps somewhere on here I think the Tremor 250/350 are nearly identical, some forums even state the part number for the rear springs for both is the same, so basically you’re buying a sticker with higher payload. That said I figured for $1000 price difference I wanted as much legal payload as possible. My reasoning is as follows. I know I will never overload even a 250 with the camper and gear as is. BUT I 100% plan on towing other things around with the truck while the camper is installed and for that you can use up more of the payload, basically tongue weight. In my dream scenario I retire early in a few years and do the work/ camp thing. Haul my Tremor/ Supertramp to far flung places in their country pulling a large camper. Park it at a work/ camp location do my thing with the camper as a home base and then explore the surrounding areas with the truck and camper. The following year, home base is in a new place with new surroundings to explore.

All this is to say, I figure the more GVWR the better, I couldn’t see the downside of having it vs not having it. I may never fully utilize it, but it’s there to remain legal and insured if i ever do. But you’re correct a 3/4T truck is more than enough for a Supertramp and gear.

That all makes sense. Thank you. I've seen similar info regarding the rear springs- might as well pay a little more and get the higher legal payload while you're at it. I'm trolling the used market, so I'll take what I can find, but the 350 does seem more desirable for the reasons you listed.

Back before I was paying attention to these things, I was driving a built JKUR that I'm sure was well over GVWR. Now that I've added that to my list of considerations, I don't know how people are putting even small slide-ins on Tacomas, Gladiators, etc, and staying under. I was initially considering an F-150 for the Supertramp, but even that's too close for my taste. Never pictured myself driving a HD truck, but I'm more comfortable with it in this scenario.

Well after only 4 quick months the new F350 Tremor has arrived!! Exactly as spec’d and to be honest the only flaw I can find is they actually put on the wrong sticker on the bed. I got an orange TREMOR sticker and Ford calls for a grey version with the sport package included.

Anyway I’ll probably start a build thread for it and link it here at some point. I will say this truck seems perfect for what I wanted….

Oh and the door sticker? 4214 lbs of payload! Holy Smokes!

Hope everyone is well!
