Fbksurferjoe's 2 tone expo-taco

they are BFG A/Ts in 33/10.50R15 and they fit fine, i only have a 2" poly spacer in front and the rubicon shackles in back. I did have glass fenders on at one point in time and that was even better because without the swaybars i was able to flex up into the well instead of rubbing. The rear does rub a little at full stuff but nothing too severe.

Check out my pic on page 7 of the "random rig shot" thread in the photography section and you can see how the 33s fit with glass.

welcome to the forum and good job on the mods:safari-rig: . Beware of the K&N intake and filters. They flow well because they lack filter capacity. Their performance is negligible. If you interested in a filter that does the job and provides additional flow, give this a try:

Well here lies the problem. I was looking at the trueflow site and the only replacement intake for my truck is the tubing that leads to the stock filter box. That is fine and all but my problem is on stock tacomas the intake draws air in from the right front wheel well. I have fiberglass fenders, because i have no inner wheel well now the dirt that my tires kick up goes directly into my intake.

So i took my taco to an offroad spot near by. I decided to try the hills in the back which i never thought possible before i did all the work to my truck. Here they are:

Good question. I have the amber wired up for when i turn on my piaas. The white is wired to my back up lights and kicks on when i put it in reverse. When i am offroading and i am in reverse it gives me a little bit more light for backing.

The way he has his amber light wired to be on with his PIAA driving lights helps to make the vehicle more visible from behind. This is very helpful if you are driving with multiple vehicles on a dusty dirt road. Helps keep others from running into you. :)

Well that amber light is bright as hell in my opinion. And as far as the back up light i think one is plenty, depending on how much power you can get to it (because you are tapping into your reverse light wiring) I dont know that you could tap 2 backup lights into that system you would have to wire it up to a manual switch and straight to your battery. If that makes sense

So after all of the holiday money I decided to upgrade some more!!! 3 days later I finally finished everything. I started by ripping out all of my old wiring because it looked like crap and re routed it, put in a fuse block, and placed everything in conduit.

I got sick of all the switches I had scattered about my cab for various accessories and decided to organize them as well. I built myself a custom switch panel in the black compartment under the radio with some sheet metal and some rivits.

After the day long adventure of rewiring I went online and bought myself 2 christmas gifts: a viair compressor and tank setup, and firestone ride rite airbags.

Started with the compressor install which suprisingly went in flawlessly. Placed the compressor in the bed of the truck and mounted the tank where my spare tire used to sit. Placed the guage next to my shifter and it turned out looking pretty clean. I put a fitting on either side of behind the rear tires so I can fill tires and use some tools if I needed too.

You can see the airbag in the pictures too. Before I put them on my springs were inverted bad and my rear end sagged quite a bit now it rides great and the springs are nice and straight. Anyway after all of that it turned out to be a pretty damn good holiday. Let me know what you all think

Glad to see you got the bags on! Just a side note, since we were discussing the bag situation, I noticed a major problem with mine. The frame where the top of the bag mounts bent/rolled under when trying to stuff the bags... This is bad. I would not suggest heavy wheeling with air in the bags. I would post a picture, but im too lazy to go outside. It only did it on the one side where there is no additional bracing for the old shock mount. The other side is holding up fine.

The wiring looks really neat! Great choice of switches also, they are the same ones I use... gotta love ebay!

I like it! Looks like the same products I installed on my 98

Nice to see how you tackled the same mod I did and came up with another end result.

I tried looking for any quick disconnects and couldn't see any. If you have OD's where did you locate it/them?

How is the view of the gauge from the drivers seat? Mine is not installed at this time as I have not found a suitable location.

Any pressure regulator? other than the pressure switch (is that the 110-145psi PS?) Is the only support for the pressure switch the threading into the tank?

I'm re-thinking my installation and would love to take a look at yours in person...
