Feeler: Fully built 2000 Land Cruiser 180,000 - $17,500

There's been some discussion in the Klaus House about replacing the 100 with something new and smaller (better mpg, fits in parking decks). I'm trying to get a feel for if it's even worth selling it. So how much do you think it's worth?

I've owned this truck since April of 2013. I'm the third owner. The first owner kept it from new until 147500 miles in Sacramento. Then, he gave it to his nephew in Los Angeles who is an actor. He had it for 2 years then sold it to me.

I owned a mint condition Silver 2000 Land Cruiser with 80,000 miles before this one that my insurance company totaled after a small run in with BlueCruiser. I let it go because it was rusty underneath from it's previous life in PA. I swapped all my mods from that truck onto this truck, including almost the entire interior.

The Slee bumper was added after the accident. I ordered all the parts to do the 2007 retrofit to repair the silver truck before Geico totaled it. So I installed them on the white truck instead.

California only truck. Rust free with the exception of slight surface rust from Saline Valley in Death Valley that seems to brush off.

Original owner maintenance records from new until 147,000 miles available on Toyota.com/owners

My maintenance records since 167,000 miles.

All of the below have been replaced in the last year. I've put about 12,000 miles on it in that time. Mostly commuting. This truck is perfect for 1000+ mile overlanding trips. We're just looking for something that would work better as a daily driver. We don't have kids, so we don't really need all this space.

This truck is fully built up for overland travel and #6 level trails. It needs nothing. If I keep it, I'd add a front locker, not because it needs it to get down the trail, but for peace of mind.

17.5mpg highway on the last trip 1500 mile trip.

The bad:

Dent on driverside front and rear fenders. Small dent on roof. I purchased it like this.

Paint on PS trim is faded around rear wheel well.

Steering wheel is peeling

Rear and front passenger seat leather is in decent to good condition. Drivers seat has lots of wear but no rips.

Rip in the vinyl on the back of the middle row seats from the drawer system tie down.

This is not a mall cruiser. There are scratches and dents on the underside from off road use.

This truck has done devils race track in San Rafael Swell, Death Valley, Poison Spider and Hell's Revenge in Moab, Red Mountain trails in the central Sierras, and is daily driver.

Not all the mods are pictured in every picture. If and when I decide to sell it, I'd add way more detailed pictures, including underhood and interior pics.

I would like to see some interior shots if possible. Front dash, additions, steering wheel, etc...

The for sale thread will have detailed underhood, interior, exterior and undercarriage photos. The truck is full of gear and hasn't been washed in Awhile right now.

Beautiful rig!! I was following you other thread about getting a Jeep. I just picked up a 1999 100 series. GLWS. I'm sure it will sell FAST!!

That IS funny.... also funny that I randomly stumbled across this post. SO, hows it coming along?

It turned out pretty good, but took forever. They were a little overbuilt with all countersunk, stainless hardware:

So when the Jeep "needed" drawers, my wife forbid building them. So I got smart and just found and bought a Tuffy drawer that was the right size.

Not really. The Jeep is better offroad with just a 2.5" lift than the 100 was with all the above. It's also faster, more fuel efficient and handles better. Plus I can fit into parking decks and my wife doesn't despise it. I do miss how heavy duty it was and how much space I had. But I also had giant entry level gear back then.
