WOW, quite a few for sale, all just a few years old and low mileage (kilometerage?). ATW buses, so great build quality. They would make a great start for a camper.
Do the mines turn them over at that young age and low kilometers often (it seem they should have a lot more life in them for work), or is a mine closing?

Oh Man.... Those busses are awesome! I would love to have one of those to start a build with! Um another build I mean...> Hope my wife isn't reading this! Oh well, they are a world away.......I had been meaning to go to Austalia though....Maybe cheaper to buy and sell when done than ship.......Hmmmm....

There is a possibility that they are being sold off due to the mining recession we are currently experiencing here in Oz.

Ah I was wondering about that - makes sense. Didn't seem like those vehicles had reached the end of their economic life or been fully depreciated.

Actually they are ex hire vehicles. One of the bigger Hire Vehicle Vendors has gone down apparently and all their vehicles are going up. They bought up big to supply mines but mostly for the LPG gas pipelines and with those jobs finished up they were left with a lot of vehicles and no work for them.

Hi John,

A guy from Sunshine coast bought a very low k 2012 for $40k from Gray's tonight.

Nice to finally meet in person, did you get to see the wombats?

Hi Ben,

Almost all of that bunch are Hi gear FGB71s.

Regards John.

Can anyone direct a newbie to a detailed model list history for the Australian market over the last 20 years?

I had a look over that Crewcab that went for $40K - very good looking truck
