Two years later I’m still not done but I have an update... shop is doing a test fit with the lid on, front runner rack on, Alucab gen 3 RTT on, and I have a smaller front runner to go on tent. Gives me a lot of optionality whether running the trailer for camping, kayaking or both.

Visited the trailer today at the shop ahead of taking it out for a trial run this weekend even though there’s more work still to do so on it (solar, battery wiring for the freezer, fenders, etc)...

Installed the smaller Front Runner rack on the lid of the Alu-Cab RTT. Mounted Front Runner kayak cradles on top of that. Definitely need a longer tongue on the m416 to make reversing easier plus will need more distance between the trailer and the Land Rover when carrying kayaks.

Ready for it’s maiden voyage tomorrow night at one of our State Parks here in FL. My Land Rover build is ongoing so I’m using my son’s 4Runner to tow it this weekend.

Adding hydraulic struts because the lid is so heavy with the Alu-Cab Gen 3 tent, FrontRunner rack on top of that and then the pair of kayaks. We put a flap on the back of the trailer that locks behind which is the jack lift for the struts. This is how the trailer lid will lock and unlock as well. Happy with how the guys at the shop have designed this.
