Nice to have a big chuck of time off... but we never did and managed to traveled a lot of the First World and most of North America with only 2 week vacations.

Most of our vacations were in the Rocky Mountain States, many trips would start and end with 24 to 30 hours of none stop driving, so we could spend more vacation days in the Mountains. I like it all, but must see are Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone and Glacier NPs. Great connecting roads and some wheel'in can be found too.

This was great, well done 40tude. I definitely second the Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Parks. Ive been there as the typical tourist but would love to see the more rugged side. That and Crater Lake. Maybe for a longer trip to hit the Canadian Rockies? Then you really won't see many people.

I agree gorgeous scenery in the above mentioned! but for me Crater Lake was mind blowing!! Sneaker skiing in July.. Eating Rainier cherrys from the tree in the Hood River valley mmm..:sombrero:

Absolutely...we are from FL but lived in CO for a few years...then made the mistake of moving back

Especially to Lutz of all places...enjoy a beer at Skipper's Smokehouse for me..
