Flounder's new ride

Here it is. My "new" bicycle for the year. I've always been weird in the sense I seldom like to start from scratch with my new bikes. In fact, there's a rim strip in there from 2001. So, this is a blend of old, but mostly new. It's also painted to match my favorite bike from 1986, a Medici Pro Strada.

The frame is a Spot "Special Blend" custom steel. The fork is a Fox F32 RLC, recently rebuilt by Push Industries in Colorado.

Hubs: Chris King
Headset: Chris King
Stem and seat post: Thompson
Seat: Selle Italia Prolink Gel Flow Carbonio
Cranks/BB: White Industries ENO - Ti spindle / ceramic bearings because.....well, I don't know why.
Rims: Mavic...biensure!
Stoppers: Avid Elixer 5 (I already miss my BB7s)
Grips: Ergon
Bar: FSA carbon because it's perdy

This bike will serve as my training bike, occasional commuter, race machine, and backcountry touring bike.

Special thanks goes to Tim Connely of Prescott for the custom paint I just had to have. He's extremely talented. He's the paint behind many of Form Cycle's showcase bicycles.

The Ergon grips is the single greatest improvement EVER for riding comfort for me. Huge reduction in wrist numbness and pain.
