It'll be rattle canned, just for that reason! Hope the front bumper is done in time for Moab, and hope we can make it.

Also have the rear drawer system is done, and installed (90%). I am waiting on a few parts to arrive to fully install the Extremeaire and tank to screw in the top plate. The top plate is slick... totally flat with the Engel removed for the dogs. The lock pins are aircraft parts from a military plane, and the cargo tie downs are from a C-130! Nothing like some $250 tie-downs, that weigh close to nothing! I just need to figure out some lighting for under the can-back and I am set. FlyingWen says to just use some TwoZone Lights, but they might not stick to the Can-Back as well as she imagines... I would like to find a nice 12v Led light strip that can go on the the top cross member and also use the same one in the Eezi-Awn (red would be slick). It is just a matter of figuring out which one works the best.

*Anxiously awaiting the pictures of the drawers and these C-130 tie downs!*
They will come... as soon as the parts arrive to finish installation of the Extremeaire. I got the parts from a buddy of mine who used to have an aircraft parts store that failed... he kept all the good stuff and the rest was liquidated. I also have some 1" strap tiedowns, that would work perfect for some nylon straps. The frame is made from 1" square tubing. It was a total ********** to make and install with out adding 300 holes in the bed. The kicker is that it is removable! (although not easy to remove, but can be done in about 30 min, which is comparable to the rear platform I had in the back of the DC.)

As for LED's, I've been looking at these for lighting up the inside of my fiberglass shell.

Sweet! That might hit the spot. At just over 2' long and 1 inch thick that might do the trick, but the $75 price tag might put the project on hold for a bit.

Man that tire carrier is gonna be incredible! What do you think the odds are of CBI allowing me to copy and build my own like that? That exactly what I've been trying to rig up but haven't been able to figure out the hinge section.

BN,

Are you capable of doing such work? I am wanting to get a bumper like that but without the tire carrier and side hoops one day. Could you do that?

Oh by the way Wil, nice bumper!!!

I could. I don't personally have the equipment but have a friend where I built the bumper who does.

PM me and we'll talk.

Wil,
Out of curriosity, will you be trimming your sheet metal to clear the side protection of the bumper? Looks like it from the pictures.

Cheers ,
