Ford CEO Promises A New Affordable ICE Pickup Truck Coming (if you're patient)

These are about the best prices in the US, but I use Granger Ford for reality checks on what's feasible for F150 prices.

In the US, you can't get the 3.5TT in the STX, but Granger's prices for STX trims are decent. Simple. F150.

There has been 29% inflation in less than 8 years. $43k today is $33k in 2018 money.

It is kind of comparing apples to potatoes, most of theirs are 2025's with leftover discounts. The one 2026 they have with a window sticker isn't discounted near as hard as the 2025's.

Hopefully they build it. I had to buy a full size truck because I couldn't fit child seats in the back of my S10. Now all the mid sized are just as big as a full size. My truck is the exact length of my garage, if I could move the garage door out a few inches I could park in my garage. Would be nice to be able to get one that could. I keep looking at the bronco but the separate bed of a truck would be nice.

I want a new version of my '79 Toyota. Super small with a 7' bed. I'm even fine if it's built cheap if it's cheap to buy. I'm not interested in a truck that's built cheap for $35k. Given the options I'll either motor swap or buy a regular cab long bed half ton.
