Ford F550 build questions

I am currently building a 12 foot (floor) cab over on a 19 F550 gas. You will need wheel wells to allow for full articulation in rear. I have 35 inch tires which results in a ten foot high camper. Low is good. Building a lower 6 inch tall sub frame to house water tanks. The width of sub frame is same as truck frame rails.
Again low with low center of gravity.
That looks great. One of my reason for F550 chassis choice is that whole build still can keep reasonably low while having beds over the cab. I will be over 11' overall height though.

I will follow this with interest as I have a similar build plan with an F-450. You already have folks with similar builds chiming in, that's great. I watched the Muse Roamer YT videos. Unfortunate that he realized after he built his frame and shell that he did not account for wheel wells and had to modify his frame. I'm guessing you will go to a Super Single to replace the duals? What kind of overall weight do you think you will be at? Over the rear axle? With the new 10 speed transmission do you believe you will have to regear using the 40 - 41 inch tires and a gas engine?

As for the lift I like the Carli suspension setup. While their site does not mention the F450/F550 CJC Offroad does now offer a kit for the F450 using Carli components.

Carli does have a long travel airbag but it's limited to 2,000 lbs.

We are currently assembling our own box with wheel wells. Certainly helps to do them before you assemble the box ?56CF6B95-9506-4F4E-8BDB-2C498EC7DAE5.jpeg56CF6B95-9506-4F4E-8BDB-2C498EC7DAE5.jpeg
