That thing is hideous. I am sure it had a purpose but damn it is ugly. I always find it interesting when Ford
offers the EU market with cars and trucks we don't have. Kind of makes you wonder! I would like to have a
ranger. They still make them for overseas but not here in the USA.

I just looked it up:
The fifth-generation F-Series was introduced in Brazil in 1971, where it remained in production until circa 1992.[6] It received a series of changes and updates over the two decades of production, eventually being fitted with a 3.9 liter turbodiesel. Sold as the F-1000, it was the last Ford truck manufactured in the Ipiranga plant which closed soon after the truck's discontinuation. The F-1000 was only available with a single cab, but a number of local specialists custom-built double cabs.

Turbo diesel 6 cyl. Even better!!!
The trucks sold in South America depending on vintage typically either come with an MWM motor (4.2l 6cyl, turbo) or the 4BT Cummins mated to the ZF-5 trans fitted to 94-97 trucks, and 4.10 rear gears.

South Africa and Australia also received the MWM motor in the SuperDuty. Really good, reliable engine.

My switches for the ARB's and the lights went into the lil' cubbyhole on the dash and I put the air bag controller and engine tuner knob in place of the 4wd rotary switch.

And I found some snow for the first time last week in the Eldorado National Forest. Quickly returned to the desert where it's warm though.

WOW! some great looking trucks here guys...

25 years of either Dodge Ram 4x4's or Jeeps... Just got my first F250 and looking to either level it or lift it... but either way, I'm loving the truck!

Here's my Farmhand rig. More of a survival/bug out build, but it works for me. I'm really hoping to swap out the E4OD for a ZF5 someday. Here it is with the dual antennas I got mounted up today.

Suspension is stock for right now. I plan on doing a lift sometime in the next few years, depending on how my life goes. Something simple like a shack flip and new coil springs up front. Right now, its sitting on 31's, but plan on swapping up to 33's when these wear out.

Other features include a new, larger exhaust, dual battery setup from an F350 diesel, visor shelf, custom cold air intake (the stock cold air intake wouldn't fit with the dual batteries.), 3G alt upgrade, drivers side spotlight, and a few other minor bell and whistle repair jobs.
