FourBy,

just wanted to chime in a compliment you on your disco. you build has come along very nicely! i love the color of your truck and it looks good with the black. most remove the flares but i think, especially on your truck, the black flares tie the front bumper to rails, to the rear bumper, it fits nicely! i've read the entire thread, it's been great.

couple of questions:

what did you paint your GD rear bumper with to match the RTE sliders/ft bumper? i can't wait to get mine on.

what are you doing for back up lights?

Go4,

Thanks you for the compliments, I am looking forward to your build also!

I am glad that you found us over here and hope that you stay for awhile. For the bumper and touch up of all the other pieces I use Semi Flat Black.

For lights I am going to rewire the existing lights.

Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Be sure to put lots of pics up!

Coleman brackets will be used to mount the Hi-Lift to the Safety Devices rack. Who knew they came in my favorite color???

louis - sorry to hi-jack but i didn't want to start another thread for a simple question:

anyone know what size i would need to order to fit my arb bumper brush guard tube?

Have you figured out where to install it yet?

I will probably just mount it on the passenger side of the cargo area for weight distribution or I will remove the (40) section and mount it there so when my wife is making sandwiches while I drive she doesn't have to crawl to the very back.

No need to apologize, feel free to ask.

The size you should need is 1 7/8.

Did you find the section with the brackets?

Nice! I just picked up the ARB version last week. First night, I slushed everything and it wasn't even turned up all the way. My wife and kids ...er, ok... me... can't wait to have ice cream on the trail!:hehe:

Glad you made it!

I thought you were one of the Ferrari owners... you caught me off guard!

Nice to meet you!

You too,

Early start this morning, but well worth it - especially as we had a chance to drive the display LR's down to the car park (series, 110's, P38, New RR's, LR2's etc, but not the Aston's unfortunately)

Great event, been a few times previously (Porsche - not Ferrari) but never thought i would be there in a LR, i do not think the LR's had much of a chance competing for attention with the vast range of amazing, rare and desirable vehicles in attendence.

Half way down we realized that neither of us grabbed the camera, do you know where those taking photos will post them?

It was early but the burritos and tea were great and the company was even better.
