my rear bumper should be up in a about 3 weeks.

My friend had been in Germany on a family death. Now the he is back he's been working on other large rockcrawler projects that were on order before my bumper.

the good news is that the bumper is of a slimline design and will be very rugged.

I'm just wonder to have it powdercoated or apply rustoleum flat black paint.

Front bumper is going to be a while. Just bought a RTE lift so took the money. However I going to wait out for a RTE bumper.

although I have been tempting to get a ARB and modify it.

Yep, right around the corner, Louis. Although we haven't lived in the A-10 flight path for some time. We see mostly Border Patrol Blackhawks now!

Ah, the sound of freedom.

The Landy's looking good Louis! There's something about green and black on the Discos that is oh-so nice. I look forward to seeing it in person at the LA ExPo DV trip in January.

Back in the 1st post you mention doing dual batteries. I will represent the dissenting opinion on this. Everyone I know with dual batteries ends up with issues. Just drop in a D31M Blue top. It fits in the tray, has huge reserve and has never failed me. I have one in my '04 for the past 3 years through lots of winching, running from 100 degrees to -25, sea level to 14,000 feet and keeping my Engel 45 on all summer.

I had changed my mind and decided to actually do that instead of the dual set-up do to something I read while looking for dual set-up info, glad to have your input and actual experience on the matter.

I am in the apartments on the corner of 20th W and Lancaster Blvd. It's funny because a couple of my friends kept telling me that they saw a Rover like mine driving around. I thought that it was my buddy Mike who has an Epsom Green D1 but it wasn't because he kept hearing the same thing....small world.

Have you done any wheeling out here?

HAHA, You are near the Walmart! Really small world!I think I have seen the other D1 with no window tint and a gray haired operator?!?!

We have been here since Sept. and the DV trip will be our first trip out. I haven't seen yours but I heard a tale about one like yours with a group filling up for a trip at a gas station in Cal City.

That's where I'm at! Not too sure who the grey haired guy is. The only fixed up trucks out here are Mike Hallmark's Epsom green kitted Disco I w/ rack, mine, Rudy Barrow's kitted black DII w/ rack, Randy Banis' fully kitted D90, and a stock G4Challenge DII running around. Oh and you and your nice DII.

Next time I go out I'll let you know. There are a lot of really nice trails and places to wheel/camp within about an hours drive from where we live. I often get to play tour guide for my friends with 4x4's who live in LA.
