Salt in the wounds...

Great to see you're having a lot of fun.

I'm green with envy as well, but couldn't be happier for you two.

Keep sending the reports, though; I'll suffer through the pain ;)

Cheers,

TD

Why don't you just stiff-kick me in the beanbag and get it over with already?! I hope you get a blister hiking through paradise...
*sigh*
Green. Totally green. With envy....
.

Says the man who stiff-kicked us all with this trip! Although I, too, must admit to being totally green! Glad you two are enjoying your new backyard. Keep sending pics, I may give up and get out of the house soon!

Canadians should not get cold in Austrlia but...

Pierre, one of my friends flew over to Canada for his wedding (to a Canadian girl) arriving just before the big day. After wedding service, they had all the photos out in the snow. He got hypothermia and spent his wedding night in hospital without even making the reception. Can't be too bad though as he and his wife have moved back to Canada to settle down.

But seriously up where you guys went hiking is probably one of the coldest spots in Queensland. I know snow has been reported up there. Was this a second trip or a late posting of the pics?

Just wait till winter comes. Mate, that's the best time to get out and see this country. No mozzies and other bitey insects, snakes, energy sapping tropical heat, cyclones and torrential rain, muddy waters, marine stingers, etc, etc.

She's just too smart! Yep, those are sheep skin covers. Not only are the nice to sit on during very hot days (keeps the sweat off your back making it cooler while driving) but provide exceptional warmth! Go ahead an laugh, but in these situations your innovations keeps you warm and well rested. Now we know that we have "back up" cold weather sleeping gear in the Cruiser at all times.
To be continued...

Hi Pierre, your report is awsome.

Floor mats also work well in an emergency.

Thanks Al,
I'll keep the floor mats in mind. On our last two trips (not posted) we have been better prepared with warm weather gear.
Cheers,
P
