First Time Post...

Figured this would be the proper place to introduce myself and post some rig pics... New member here. My rig is a 01' Ram 1500 / 5.9L / 4x4 off-road model. First acquired back in '08 with about 115k on the clock for $7900 out in Colorado. Haven't done any mods to her besides a lower temp thermo (165) and larger tires, + the self-refurbished camper shell & rack. But she has had a few repairs during our time together, all done by yours truly... :ylsmoke: After replacing the starter, A/C compressor, heater core, radiator, power steering pump, complete front end and rear end rebuilds, routine plugs & wires, a couple tie rods and a couple sway links later, shes still runnin strong at 187,XXX miles. :clapsmile I know I left somethin out, but nonetheless, "The Silver Bullet" aint goin no where.

I guess I should post up a pic of my new 3500. I didn't take any pics on the couple of trips into the wilds with it yet, but soon enough I will get some. I've added a 2" level kit, 285/75-18 Toyos and a couple of camper related mods. More to come!

Some VERY NICE and unique Dodges posted here..........I just added a 30" light bar from Trail Worthy Fab

It took me longer to measure and check the alignment about 10 times before drilling the two mounting holes

I used stainless steel bolts, ss washers, and those nylon insert ss nuts......with some blue Loctite

I just need to wait for it to get dark out so I can align the pattern to the road

A huge thanks to Trail Worthy Fab for the light bar.............dual row 3D Cree 180W and 13,200 lumen

Even in the overcast weather, it is stupid bright

Far too long since the last contribution to this thread!

I brought home a 1980 Dodge W400 yesterday, after nearly 2 years of negotiation. Equipment includes a 360-4V, no catalytic convertors, NP-435, NP-205, Gear Vendors overdrive, 4.88 geared D60 and D70, and a paltry 18-gallon fuel tank...as if that will take me anywhere. I'm not sure of my entire goal for the truck, first was to get it home. The rack is being sold...hate the rack!

Here are a few of mine. 84 W350. Some before I tore it apart, and then as it sits now. Originally a 360 4spd truck, but I'm on the home stretch of a 12v cummins and nv4500 conversion, plus a lot of stuff on the interior. The rack that is on it in the photos is for sale by the way...

and where I am now on the project:

I guess I'll post mine as well. Nothing too special yet, just a stock 2014 Outdoorsman/Hemi/8spd. I traded my 2011 2500 Cummins back in July since it just set in the garage mostly. I miss the 2500 sometimes but really like this new 1500 and it does all that I need it to. Future plans are to do Bilstein leveling, 285/75/17 ATs, a folding tonneau cover, yakima rails over the bed with my mega warrior basket when extra capacity is needed, and airbags to help with the weight. I would like to get a pop up tent trailer one of these days so this truck will easily handle that. This is the best picture I have for now.

This truck has served my very well, but it's just a bit too small for overlanding. Weekend trips or trips up to 4 days are great, but anything more than that, and there just isn't enough room to properly store things.

Hoping to pick up a '95 1500 with an extended cab/short bed in candy red later this week. Was really hoping to find the same setup in a 2500 with a 12v cummins (for a reasonable price). But I've searched pretty much the whole west coast on the craigslist to no avail. It's not all that bad though. I know gas engines through and through so trail fixes are possible where they wouldn't be for a diesel. and I've already rebuilt one 5.9 V8, surely I can do another much easier than having to learn diesels. Will post a build thread if that becomes a reality.
