I know what your saying Stu, i've gone through this thought in my head a hundred times and done research and it's a common thing done so we will see what happens. a lot of the high lift kits in the US use this type of setup.

Hi Alan,

That's what a standard setup looks like on a current NPS. Their spacers look about that high...although they don't use one block but a stack of plates. Regards John.

Hi John, i thought thats how Isuzu done it, but i never found a NPS locally to check.

those spacer blocks look like something from the 80's where we wanted to jack up our 4wd's but didn't have any money to do it with

now I know John has confirmed the design is currently used but my engineers mind is screaming at the load that's going to be put on that spring pack under acceleration

either way it looks the goods - and its shiny so it must go fast

BTW is that an un welded joint I spied ?
 
Out of interest Alan... did you ever consider running trailing arms at the rear to take away any torsional stresses from those lift blocks?
 
I've thought of a lot of different ideas but i will just wait and see what it drives like first and go from there.:smiley_drive:
 
Another question... why the two different types of shocks?

Well they actually come from the same factory, just with different branding and boots, I had the two white and blue in stock so thought i would use them, my son's have already told me it looks stupid and i have to change them.
 
Argh... family pressures... not much you can do about that. ;)
Personally, I think the blue and white ones look better.
 
Alan just tell them its design engineering
the blue one is for compression and the tough dog for rebound
with any luck they'll look at you funny but assume you've done the maths :wings:
