Risk Taker
the Clan of the Nose Hairs...?
That's an obscure reference... Have we rafted together?

I got lost in all the details but the whole issue could have been avoided if you had gotten the BOM# from the salvage yard. They you could look up the axle in minutiae and know exactly what was in it before buying it. I get the frustration part but I also see how the operator made a mistake as well. Always a risk when you can't go to a pick-a-part or the like and inspect the part yourself.

A salvage yard is in the business and should know what they have. The gear ratio is stamped right next to the BOM. I can't see why the customer should have to learn how to decoded the serial number when the seller should know how to do that. The seller ****ed this one up, plain and simple.
4.30s instead of 3.73s is a freaking dream come true! And the fact that they screwed it up so they have to help you out is a win win in my book. Can't wait to see how this unfolds...
Gonna be in your neck of the woods on Friday 6-9. Hope you can make it. I'd love to meet you!
Hey I am terribly sorry for my post. I was in a real rotten mood that day and everything was setting me off. I apologize. I didn't mean to derail this thread. I have enjoyed it from the beginning and am looking forward to more of it.
