German 98 Blazer build

It`s the factory headlight washer tank from my blazer...

Btw, we had a car rally today that our fire dept had to watch for safety reasons. Was a fun day, even if i couldn`t do anything on my blazer.

This is us in the break between the two runs:

It`s always great to look at those cars...

Yesterday i managed it to break my shower hose in my bathroom. But, i can add it to the shower in my car, what nets in 3,5m shower hose:

Wow:Wow1:Stein, barbequed:1888fbbd:meat :steak:and fast cars make me:drool: When can I come to your next meet?

When i drove home from work today, i thought i noticed blue smoke in the mirror. But oil pressure and temp seemed normal, so i continued. About 2 miles from home it started smoking blue. But oil pressure and temp stayed normal so i floored it and got home.
When i got out of the car i noticed oil flowing out of the engine bay. I had a look and realized it came from my tranny oil cooler. So i disassembled it and this is what i saw:

Well, of course this was when it was getting dark, and i don`t have a garage. The oil spilled out of the hose and hits the fan. So it was all over the engine and smelled freaking bad. So i replaced the hose and pressure washed the engine and the rest of the car.
This is where the fun starts:

Then i hooked up my obd reader to check the code and my laptop died. Yeah, this is my day... :smilies27

After a while i got it figured out and this is the code it read:

P1870-transmission component slipping

Maybe it was just low on oil. I just cleared the code. Will see tomorrow what it does when i drive to work...

Well, this was my "fun day"...

EDIT: I think the problem was a sharp edge in the connector and a not ideal line routing. I smoothed both out and i think it`ll do fine now...

I had coolant coming out from the dash from above the passenger footwell and steam coming out of the vents this morning. I think it's time to have a look at the heater core...

I really think my Blazer hates me. Everything was fine and now everything brakes down...

I am sorry to hear about your problems Stein. Strange that the hose blew out on the tranny cooler. Was the hose flexed or bent at the point that failed?`I wish you good luck with the repairs. Before you know it everything will be working again.

Your truck is 13 years old, heater core should be expected to fail eventually. It does suck but at least you are capable of doing the repairs yourself. Could you imagine your price tag to date if you were paying someone to do all this work. Keep up the good work and please do something about the rear tires not matching (it catches my eye in every pic). My blazer is only 6 years old and I have done ball joints, oil cooler lines, power steering line, CV boot, etc.

Yes, i think there was a bent and a sharp edge. Was my own fault, because i forgot to double check it after a few miles...

Yes, you`re right. It just sucks that everything dies at the moment...
I can`t do anything about the rear tire, because it`s on backorder. But it should be here the next weeks...

We have an upcoming trip the next month, so i started with a bit more expedition things...

My heater core "fix":

Had some PVC floor left from our house, so i thought why not to use it? Then i made a slide for my cooler:

Then i started organizing my pile of recovery gear:

Also did some testing for hot water for the shower, but didn`t get the result i wanted...

Good idea on bypassing the heater core Stein. I would have done the same thing untill I can replace the core. Nice set up on the cooler slide system. I especially like your taste in interior decor :Wow1:with the beige and brown tile like vinyl covering. So `Chic´:):088::bigbossHL::wavey:
