Sweet thread, love all the pics. You guys should definitely check out Cathedral Valley if you haven't before.

You seem to be one of the few guys that actually use the suspension in the same areas I like exploring. I would really value your feedback!

Now that you have some miles on the suspension, how do you like it overall? Anything you would change other than the rear coils you already swapped?

Also, any reason you did not do the Carli radius arms or sway bar other than the price tag?

I have a 15 that will be getting the 2.5 pintop and some Thuren goodies that I have sitting in my garage. So any other feedback you have would be awesome.

The suspension is great, for how heavy the truck is you will need to revalve the rear depending on what you carry and your use.

I actually had to get carlis heavier rear coil springs because i carry a lot of weight and a flippac.

I didnt feel like the radius arms were needed, the stock ones are strong enough for what im doing.

Do you have any more info or a build thread/pics for this Silverado? Thing is awesome!

Jesse, great build! It's awesome to see people using these 3/4 ton's for overlanding. I think the payload capabilities and optional diesel engines really lend themselves to such uses.

3 questions:
1) Does Carli's front suspension upgrade allow for added weight up front (e.g. winch and bumper).
2) Is the 4th gen's steering setup robust enough to handle offroad abuse? I know Carli offers low and high mounted upgraded steering stabilizers, just don't know if they are overkill or not.
3) Did you stay with the stock sway bars, or upgrade to Carli's version as well?

Looking forward to updates on this! And Sub'd.

As far as the front suspension, im not 100% sure but i think it would be fine with a bumper and winch.

The steering appears to be very strong i dont plan on upgrading it anytime soon unless i have an isssue. The truck steers great as is, my steering is all stock with 35s.

I also habe stock sway bars, thats somthing i might add in the future. The truckhas definitely 3 wheeled a couple times. I think new sway bars would help but i could always disconnect them if im going to run a hard trail. I have some good trails with them on though.

Awesome build!

I have been debating on getting a 2500 as well, but am sitting on my hands till I see the new Jeep JTU with Eco Diesel.

Quick question. Why did you pick the Carli suspension over the AEV kit? I was leaning towards the AEV as I currently have their 2.5" on my JKU and have had zero problems with it. Also I liked how simple the kit was for the 2500 (I am of the mindset of keeping it as simple as possible). What are the benifits the Carli kit offers?

AEV is more of a lift kit, Carli is a suspension system. With carli you get new springs all around, 2.5 shocks with remote reservoirs, the correct geometry and valving for prerunning. In California we do a lot of prerunning carli builds the stuff for that.
