I own and drive/wheel vehicles with Harrop and ARB lockers.
My DD is a 100-series cruiser with a factory rear e-locker. We installed a Harrop e-locker in the front over a year ago as well as the 80-series OEM dual locker switch. The install was much simpler than an ARB, the auxiliary wiring took less than half an hour including the locker switch replacement. So far the Harrop has performed flawlessly with zero issues.
A good friend of mine has had them in the front and rear of his DD FZJ80 for 7 years without issues.
I have seen some issues with ARBs, mostly related to air lines and the more frustrating and time consuming o-ring leaks/failures @ the diff itself. I've also seen temperature related issues with these o-rings when wheeling/driving in cold/snowy conditions.
Both ARB lockers in my comp buggy started leaking late last year. I fixed them but it's not a 30 minute repair; had to tear both Diffs apart.
Don't get me wrong, both these units have their place. But so far I've been more impressed by the Harrops.
I've installed and sold my share of both .....
