Hi all - new member, but 15 years owner of a LR110 Hardtop which is now 23 years old. It used to be a TD2.5 but I've now put a 200TDi in it, with a few other bits and pieces, all on a galvanized chassis. I use it for work here in Scotland (location environmental photographer working for environmental agencies and some whisky companies) and its well insulated (1 inch on roof and floor and 2 inches on sides, closed cell foam) and has auxiliary (diesel fed) heating so is comfortable in the winter. Doing some modification work later this year and hopefully can contribute a build thread as it progresses as some of you may be interested in it. For now here's a couple if pics from a winter night out on an island off the west coast of Scotland, at sunset and after it got dark.

Thanks. Exped make over is under way, just fitted a rear wing tank for another 50L diesel, water tank going in side wing one side and gas bottle other side with more storage and a small grey water tank, sink inside and a small cooker and fridge as well. Also other bits and bobs. Hopefully some desert trips to Morocco, or north to Lappland or Iceland in the coming years. Also attempting an alloy pop-top roof in a few weeks.

That's a beauty!

Can't wait to see the interior and the top project.

I've got a V8 109 project tut I'd like to end up in a similar state.

Thanks chaps. My roof alteration adventure starts in a few weeks time when I've got all the alloy assembled and my mate the ally welder is free. I don't think it will be without drama! But I'll post as it progresses.
