Not really used a hi-lift jack before is there any reason to have one with a Fuso? I don't really see a spot you can use it on a Fuso. Please enlighten me.

Don't do it ...... high chassis rails + heavy truck + HILift = very dangerous situation.
A highlift wouldn't have the rating either. Just don't think it would be safe.

I figured so, but when i checked the equipment that Don andKim Greene had on their Fuso expedition they sold,the truck included a high lift jack. i suppose they probably never used it in any way. www.questconnect.org

I agree that the high jack point on a big truck needs careful consideration. However, in some cases it's just about impossible to get a bottle jack under a stuck truck axle. In that case, if the axle is chained to the frame, and the frame (which will be closer to the ground if the truck has sunk!) lifted with the Highlift, the axle will be extracted, as for adding ballast under the tire. There's also an adapter to allow a Highlift to connect to a wheel to jack up an axle from the end. IMHO, the Highlift is still an invaluable tool, especially if you include some chains and hooks for using the Highlift as a come-along.
The 60" long beam jack is the one to have. Consider, however, that beam bending is the problem on tall lifts. This is exacerbated by the base of the jack, especially on the huge aftermarket bases, when not perfectly supported will assist bending the beam by creating a lever at the bottom! Best to take off the base and support with a heavy board that lets the base of the beam seek a little angle to the base (the beam does not bend that way).
