Hard Coating the Cell Foam Exterior
It was a pain to find a hard coat for foam, that didn't require some $2000 spray gun. Plasti-Paste™ by Smooth-On end product is great, but I'm new to working with it. It's a 3:1 two part mixture that has about 8-10 minutes of workable time. Anything over 3/8” thick is rubbery-hard in 8, thin layers take longer to activate. It heats up, but after multiple test samples, and having so much courage from the sealing…. It was on.
Hard coat activation caught me off guard.
I know it doesn't look like much work, but I've been sanding for 10+ hours. Going to get some sanding pads for my cordless sander, unless anyone knows where to find smurf sized auto body tools…
This thing should be finished within a month or so....
