How do I get My Places from Google Earth to my Garmin?

So, I have a new Garmin Vista Unit, and I want to take a whole pile of places I have saved on Google Earth and put them in the Garmin. I can export the places as .kmz or .kml files, but Garmin MapSource doesn't appear to import those.

What can I do to get these waypoints in?

Find and download the free program 'GPSbabel' and you can convert the KML files to GPX, which the Garmin will have no problem using.
