Flew from Alaska to Arizona for mine. Bought it as a package with a truck, made the normally 3500 drive home into a 8000 mile adventure road trip. Several phone calls with the seller, few dozen photographs, and had the truck checked out by a dealership. It was a totally positive experience, and I felt safe traveling that far buying it sight unseen.

Last May after 2 years of searching we found a newer used FWC Keystone (2009 model) for a very good price. It was in Big Timber, Montana and we drove up and picked it up. One way distance was approximately 1300 miles. We camped in Yellowstone then headed over to Seattle visited friends and camped our way home to Solvang, CA down the Pacific coast.
We are very happy with the camper.

Remember to bring tie downs if your trucks not equipped. The Skamper I loaded on an utility trailer . and the North star I put on truck and used ratchet straps on both.
still don't have proper torklift or Happi jacks mounted on truck frame, but haven't gone far . Sorry 2nd pic won.t turn Skamper is for sale Jacksonville Craigslist.

I drove Boston-Denver & back for my Flippac. I got a package deal I would have never been able to find back east. Loving the FP & haven't (hardly) camped in it yet. The seller RoamingRobertsons (great folks!!) were driving out to Colorado with a flatbed, so timing & such just lined rite up.

550 miles one way. I rarely buy new and had been looking for several months. I was willing to go 1000 miles for the right one.
On my lunch break I was running errands and spotted a new FWC in the lot. The owner came out and I asked him some questions about it. When I mentioned I was looking for a Grandby he tells me he has one for sale. What luck! But...the camper was at the FWC factory. I talked to the owner and then talked to Stan and had him sent me a bunch of photo's and the entire rundown on it. Stan also gave me his honest opinion on it. I went to the bank, got the cash, and paid the owner who lives a mile from me, sight unseen. Drove all night to FWC headquarters so I was there at opening. Looked it over and it was exactly as stated. Mounted it up and camped my way home via Hwy 1 / 101.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I figure I got the thing to travel in so traveling to get it isn't an issue. Love it and saved a bunch. Almost gave up and figured I'd have to order a new FWC or ATC.

I had been searching for a pop-up for months. When I saw mine come up 90 miles away I jumped on it! I drove down on a wednesday night to be the first to see it.
Well, I just drove 900 miles round trip to pick mine up. I drove from Asheville, NC to Ohio. I spoke to the owner in the morning and left within two hours. I brought all cash with me, and a crowbar under my seat just in case. She wouldn't accept anything but cash and I suppose I don't blame her. She was nice enough to hold it for my until I got there. That part was not an easy task. I called her and left messages 4 times during my trip to let her know where I was along the way so she wouldn't get antsy and sell it to someone else. I also didn't lowball her and paid full asking price.
