Ideas for making a difference

Hi,

My husband and I are in the beginning planning stages of a trip to mexico and central america. I am wanting to do some sort of good while we are out traveling. I am a teacher and thought bringing supplies to a local school would be nice. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this started? Who to ask? Where I can find out who is in need? All that fun stuff. Any ideas or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Tons of places you can help. And lots of different ways too. My wife works in a rural Guatemalan community that I'm sure could use some help.
