I'm BACK!!! 2023 F-250 Tremor build

I have the same BMC Apex-L setup and have a question about aiming. Did you have any trouble getting the XL80s adjusted enough to point towards the midline rather than way off to the sides? I have them setup the way BMC suggests and they are just way too far off towards the outsides. TBH, I wonder if the XL80s are “too bright” as well to be so low on the bumper. I’m debating getting some XL Sports and swapping them for the 80s and then putting the 80s in the a-pillar position.

The left one is a bit off, but I have yet to bother with trying to realign it. I have new surrounds to put on, so I'll mess with it then. They are insanely bright, but for how/where I employ them, they are exactly what I want.

I assume you run them as long-distance on-road lighting? That had been my primary intent. I guess I’ll keep messing with them. Did you need new surrounds for a specific fitment reason? They are super tight to the lights themselves I noticed.

I am talking about the frames for the lens on the lights themselves. Mine were a little chewed up from messing with them during fitment and installation. It's a super tight fit in there, as you know. I use them off-road at hunt camp and on very rural back roads. They are perfect for that use. The smaller lights are my fogs.

Gotcha. Yeah, the fit is super tight lol and the BD paint and anodization is pretty thin.

Anyhow, glad they’re working. TBH I haven’t taken them on a proper night drive so I probably should wait before replacing them and putting them on the a-pillars.

Regardless, nice truck and setup! I think your plan for a flatbed and canopy like many Australian setups would be amazing.

We shall see, still tossing around ideas. I won't make a move anytime soon, just starting to think ahead.

These SeaDoo BRP Black Edition decals are a nice touch—no more Chrome.

Really cool build! I think I may have missed on one of these pages. Do you still have stock front and rear springs?
I've got a 2020 7.3L non-Tremor I bought about a year ago to tow my 8k-10k 36' travel trailer.
It has the plow package (heavier front springs), camper package (rear swaybar) and the previous owner added airlift 5000 airbags (that I never use) and I added Bilstein 5100s.

I also have 20" wheels and stock tires, but my next upgrade is 17/18s Methods and 35s (want 37s, but my 7.3L only gets about 11.5 mpg now...lol)

Since I'm going with 35s vs 37s, I'm planing to build sort of a Tremor clone.
Tremor front springs, likely the lightest available (4800 model)
Adjustable or OEM track bar
Remove airbags, return to stock
Remove rear swaybar
Tremor front swaybar

My truck rides super stiff, so I am hoping these parts will soften it up some. Then phase 2 will be some accutune shocks - probably Fox 2.0 adjustable. Basically, I want to be able to stiffen the shocks for towing and soften for daily use.
I went down this rabbit hole while looking for Method 707s! Probably either going with those or possibly the 704HDs and staying with 17s & 35s. Thanks for documenting it!

Go ahead an remove both sway bars right now. The ride will improve very favorably. As far as body roll and control you’ll not notice it in a stock truck. I have to pay attention to notice it on a 2.5” leveled truck with truck camper weighing in at 9500+ lbs. Stock I couldn’t tell a difference.

Not to Hijack the OG thread but I would like others opinions on using adjustible shocks for towing. I have fox 2.5 resi from accutune. They are great shocks and I have played with the settings but don't really beleive that running on 1 unloaded and 10 loaded would suffice for heavy towing. They control body roll well (for removing sway bars) and they work great on pot holed dirt (stable, more comfortable ride) but just not sure that they would solve dpspeeds situtaiton on removing rear airbags etc.

They definitely aren’t a replacement for my bags. I’ve got both, and they pair well on a budget. Ideally I’d be rocking custom leafs, but this combo is working great for the time.
