Inland Rovers Unusal Motorhome Buid

Update....
Driven the beast about 9000 miles since the build and so far so good! Used the 4wd MANY times in sand, snow and dirt without a hiccup. I have recently lifted the rear another 2.5 inches to increase the departure angle and also for aesthetic purposes. It was perfectly level before but the wheel arches in the back are much smaller than the front so it made it look like the butt was sagging. I also completely un-restricted :)ylsmoke:) the exhaust and added a new black 4.5" tip (factory heat shield /outlet thingy it had was fugly)

I really like the assurance that the 4wd gives knowing that you can go pretty much anywhere at any time without worry of chaining up, getting stuck, etc. I highly recommend converting a class C motorhome to 4wd to anyone that travels off the beaten path or just wants to camp in spots where no other RVs can!

Man every time I look at yours it makes me want to convert ours even more. Just curious as to how much weight you are towing behind your rig... Mine has the V10 and is only rated to tow 5000k.. I am getting really close to that already when we load up all of our quads and gear to head out for a trip. We are thinking of switching over to SXS's which weigh even more so I am a little concerned.. Thanks for any feedback.

My boat weighs about 8k and I have several thousand miles of towing it without any issue. I would recommend getting a bigger hitch or having yours "beefed" up, I have a 10k hitch on mine.

Saw you at Glamis last weekend and wanted to stop and say Hi but didn't get a chance. Rig looks awesome! What do you haul in the trailer?

I think I saw your van somewhere along the trip too! I am a regular customer of Glamis, maybe I'll see you next time!
I haul whatever fits...Quads, RZRs, Subarus....etc etc

Pismo beach last weekend...was fun in the sand until it was time to leave and the trailer got stuck! Took the motorhome and another truck to simultaniously pull it out!moho.jpgphoto.jpgmoto2.jpg

Update: Officially dubbed my rig "4XHome" after meeting with hobietony and picking up the hydraulic level system from him yesterday.

That is all.
