International 3800 adventure bus build

I can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve posted any progress on the bus. The first half of ‘24, I was busy doing other vehicle work. I fully rebuilt the brakes and front suspension on my truck and did a manual transmission conversion and on my son’s Frontier.

Anyway, on to what you came here for. I finished the rust repair on my floor and painted it with Chassis Saver. IMG_9509.jpeg

Then I glued down 3” of XPS rigid foam insulation.

I didn’t glue down the Advantech subfloor because I planned to install hydronic heating first. IMG_0073.jpeg

I realized I might hit a pipe while bolting in the furniture, so I decided to go ahead and fabricate all that first and bore the holes. IMG_7119.jpeg

More to come!

Re: Resonators
This is very cool & I've never heard of them - thank you for posting!
Did you do some calculation to determine length on the quarter-wave resonator?
Curious if you changed the muffler as well?

Hey, thanks! Yes, you can find quarter-wave resonator calculators online, I don't remember which one I used. It's dependent on the number of cylinders and the RPMs at which you wish to kill the drone. They have a relatively narrow band of effectiveness, maybe plus or minus 100 RPMs, that's one reason I also added the FTE resonator as it seems to have a broader band of cancellation. I don't have a muffler anymore, the factory one seemed pretty restrictive so I removed it. It isn't very loud right now with the resonators and the turbo.
