is this a copy?

Looking for trailers in the web I come across this Chinese site T-Choice trailers.
This particular model looks very familiar to me.

Cheers

Amazing how someone half way across the world can come up with exactly the same design.

Coincidence? RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!:26_7_2:

You've got to be kidding me! Geeze, I guess I should have just bought my Chaser from these guys! I'm sure the customer support would be just as good as MM. That actually upsets me.

And here is the ripoff copy of the Kamparoo...

I do believe in compitition but direct ripoff is something different. Make a better mousetrap, don't just copy it. :violent-smiley-031:

I agree this is ridiculous but looking at their site I don't believe that they actually manufacture an AT-like, Kamparoo-Like or Kimberly Kamper-like trailers. The picture of the off-road trailer with the boat on top looks like a KK trailer.

All of the selectable trailers for purchase look like cheap cargo trailers.

Either way, they have no business ethics if they are using other manufactures' trailer images and insinuating they manufacture that product. It would be nice if there was a way to force them to remove those images from their website.

:gunt:

What makes this even more interesting is that the pictures of the Horizon and Chaser featured on their site, are pictures of the AT Horizon and Chaser. I would guess that the other pictures are also of the real thing.

Who knows what these guys are up to, testing the market ?

To me it looks like someone just PhotoChopped the T-Choice logo on a stock AT and Kamparoo photo.

I don't see how they could be making all of these different styles.

Even if they are able to produce these, QA is probably non existent, as well as support.

Even if labor and materials are cheap oversees, I would think the cost of getting them here would be pretty high.

I think it's a shame that there's even companies out there that rip-off honest companies with solid inovations.

What's even worse, is that there seems to be no recourse for US companies.

Those pictures are property of Adventure Trailers. They were stolen from our website. The Horizon was shot was taken in Texas and the Chaser is actually Chaser #1 at the Sportsman's Expo in Pomona.
On their website is also a picture of a Kimberly in their header pictures.
This really frosts my shorts. For the past 6 years we have sacrificed and put everything on the line to pursue our passion to fulfill the needs of fellow overland travelers with innovative concepts and equipment. A simple right mouse click by an unscrupulous company now puts us at risk. Emulation is one thing...this is theft.

Isn't that why our government has helped build the Chinese economy?

This is happing all the time. A friend of mine sued a (China) company that was coping a product he makes. I'm not totally sure of the out come. I know he won, but some how a deal was made that they are still saleing it. Sorry I can't give you any more info then that, (My friend asked me not to talk about it) Let just say you need to get a Lawyer NOW!!!!!. You will be in a fight for a few year. And don't expect any help from your goverment. They don't care unless you are big corp.

Mario, if you're interested read this article on internet content theft. It gives a lot of great tips on how to protect yourself, and what to do when your content is stolen. Sometimes it takes more time than it seems worth, but I think most people here know how important it is.

This sucks. So how do they re-make all those models of various companies? Seems impossible to me.
Maybe they order whatever a customer needs and re-sale it ? Mario/Martyn, you guys exporting any trailers lately? I think they're just good at stealing images on the web to promote the trailers they actually indeed make or sell.

It just burns my goat when people do stuff like this. I have to keep a constant eye on some of my students because they don't see anything wrong with it!
