When removing the rear window. I would use this as a template on a 1/8 sheet of aluminum and cut the exact shape.

Then purchase a new rear window seal and install this aluminum panel just like a rear window.

Thanks again for the comments.

I don't see getting wet while climbing through to the cab. My habitat covers the crew cab roof.

About folks on this forum and suggestions:

Anyone that has done this before may have tips.
Anyone who is in the middle of this engineering may have tips
Anyone that took a different approach may have lessons learned.
Anyone who cut the hole in the cab, may have suggestions
Anyone who was faced with the rear window delete may have a better approach.
Anyone who has finished a passthrough and could add to the discussion would be helpful.
We have made hundreds of them, for EarthCruiser products. One offs builds are not the same as production, two completely different animales. Putting the financial and time investment aside what professional vehicle builders design for there commercial application is not the same as home DIY project. I can say to have the sign off from FUSO in Stuttgart took 18 months for our design. The level of engineering documentation they required was well, German as one would expect.

If I bought the habitat turnkey with warranty is my rig a DIY?
If my Isuzu 4wd was delivered to me with warranty is my rig DIY?

Ask your roads/registration department and/or your insurance company.
At the end of the day, only their opinion matters.

Looking for ways to make the shower dual purpose

My habitat has a shower door with a handle and hinge
Behind the shower door when closed is a shower curtain. (I suppose this is to keep most of the water off the inside of the door)

The door is medium duty, not a major engineering and on the side is a continuous hinge down the full length of one side.

Somewhere in the past I did see a small tall shelf mounted to the inside of the shower door on some other rig.

The concept is when taking a shower, open the door, and pull the shower curtain closed.
As when the door is closed the small tall shelf encroaches into the shower cabin.

I'm looking for pictures and ideas.

Finding ways to add storage

Found this for the inside of the door. (plastic so lightweight)
Adhesive can be used to attach it. (or 3M™ VHB™ Tape )

During ordering and the build process some storage was lost.

The standard approach the supplier used for mounting all electrical switches and monitoring screens was "over the entry door"

I did not like that. I requested those items were mounted to the right in the overhead cabinet wall surface.

That decision improved the usability.

However of the three over the kitchen counter upper cabinets, two are mostly consumed by electronics. So two thirds of the space is now lost to habitat storage.

(in the center cabinet is where the solar panel wires and "glan" enters the habitat from the roof and a large MPPT controller is mounted there as well as a antenna for the security system)

What's over the entry door, now?
