hey guys i've been lurking this site for a while now and i figured i would share a store.
Well i was taking a trip out to Montauk Long Island with the girlfriend today and as i am driving i see a old what looks to be a series III so i pulled over and made her give me her camera! It was at a old classic car mechanic but without a doubt has been sitting there. it looked to be totally complete besides the seats. and it was in OK condition the floor panels were gone/rusted off and the bulkhead footwell's we pretty rusted but the rest of the bulkhead looked good! the rear crossmember was OK as well would definitely need replacing and the frame was OK as well. but after briefly checking it out i went into the house/office and i went up to a lady at the front desk and ask if the old series land rover was forsale? and before she could get out a word i hear a older man in the next room yell "NO!!" so i walked into the next room asking again and he replied with a no again and he asked me what i needed it for and i replied with im just looking for one too restore. All he said was im not selling it.... it made me mad knowing that this truck is going to sit here for years until he decides what to do with it...and it was sitting there for years before i came across it
i figured i would just share that with you guys i hate seeing land rovers that just sit there rotting away.
here is some pictures!
