That was actually my first cocktail recipe video after reviewing a revolting Old Fashioned mix from Pocket Cocktails.

Ice cold orange vodka, crushed ice, fresh squeezed orange with some orange pulp. Well shaken.

Another vote for the G/T...with lemon, not lime. I prefer a rather pedestrian London Dry: Gordon’s. But there are some very interesting craft tonics out there these days.

Now that I'm growing mint & limes, Mojitos seem to happen fairly often

If I'm backpacking, I keep it simple, powerful , bang for the ounce. Whiskey, sometimes mezcal or brandy in there. Usually a nice bourbon and a nice malt, both decanted into Fiji bottles. I will make cocktails on the river. Some classics, daiquiris, sours. Schweppes tonic, one can will make three or four small G&Ts. Fresh limes a must. Classic legit Mai Tai's about the biggest surprise on the river.

A good bourbon and some sweet tea. Or just sip the bourbon.
