O.K, so my next objectives for the trailer were mods to the
tray. My thoughts were to make it a cooking area since I converted the tail gate of the FJ62 into a prep table, the ARB fridge on a slider, at arm length. the idea is when I get to an area at night, and want to make a quick meal, I don't have to fumble around. so there was my trusty infra red grill, mounted on firm spacers to the tray permenently. 11# propane tank mounted to the tonge on a lockable mount we fabed(similar to Drew's design), and a yellow top optima battery housed in a marine trolling motor power center box. it has the ability to tell the state of charge of the battery and also 2 power outlets.
I have a hella work light mounted atop of the rack to light up the area.
the battery box is attached to a custom made, lockable holder. the holder is also removable if I wanted to use the space for somthing else.

-Brad, my trailer wants to be a KK when it grows up..lol
btw, it already saw some battle action- worked great!!
2 weeks of archery elk hunt last year, (killed a bottle of JB..does it count?)
had some bad weather and camp was flawless!

:jump: I think you are well on your way. :hehe: I head out the second week of Feb for our annual piggy hunt. I bought a wood burning stove for the KK tent so I am hoping for cold nasty weather. :jump:

Bring on the pics! :lurk:

I'm getting there- some pics of her with some goodies loaded on the rack to show options of usage. also, I mounted my ammo box to the rear gate using the bolt holes that used for the prior spare tire carrier.in it I keep items such a straps, bungies, tire wedges, and front wheel jack mount.. things I might need on the trail, readily accessible.

How do you plan on strapping your table down? I have been thinking of ideas for a while now. I am thinking some hanging L's from the rack that the table could sort of slide into and hang from the crossbars...

...sounds rattle-y doesn't it! :D

Notice the tie rings on the side of the lid?
fantastic strong set up I scored on e-bay from a transport aircraft supplier. I used it last elk hunt in semi rough terrain without a problem- E-Z UP and tables, chairs, firewood etc.. just crossed tied with cinch straps.2 weeks in the wood...stylin! The L brackets sounds like a good idea-I'm sure there is a way to limit vibrations and noise- lets think about it..
