Gentlemen,
I am in the process of building a 1967 Land Rover 109 as a family expedition vehicle. One issue I have is the rather agricultural seating which shows it's 60's vintage. All very cool black vinyl but not particularly safe in the event of a rear shunt. Having measured a friend's JK seats I think I can make them fit with a bit of modification. The rear bench looks like it might be a suprisingly good fit wit the added advantage of a 3 point belt built into the seat for the center passenger.
The big question is where is a good place to find wrecked JK's or parts stripped from modified rigs? It will take me at least a year to get this truck up and running so I can afford to take some time.
Oh yeah, the JK is a nice truck - I think Land Rover is loosing out big time not having anything to match it's market position.
Regards
Gregor
