With the new meats... Sorry about the "driveway" shot... At least the driveway is about 50 yards from nowhere, and then about 100+ miles to the next human...

Thanks for the welcome. I don't get to this board very often...I guess that explains the lack of posts. But, I'm planning to start making some posts.
As for photo location, this area must be accessed from private property with locked gates, though the pictures are of and taken on public lands. The general area is in Douglas County about 1.5 hours Northeast of Bridgeport.
Here is another shot of where we had came down from. Look for the small road (line across middle left) of the picture. The road is quite narrow in a few places and very rocky. There are quite a few old mines up at the top and a stamp mill near the bottom. Unfortunately, there was a huge avalanche/rock slide in the winter/spring of 2009 which has made the last 2 miles of the road impassable. I seriously doubt the road will ever be reopened due to the remoteness of the location. I have never met anyone on the trail and from the tracks and road condition, not more than a handful of people visit this mountain each year.
Ahhhh, El Segundo... What planes? What smells? My good friend lives on W Palm Ave by Loma Vista. It is a great area... My 84 BJ60 spent many days there.
