I love that 40! Still feel a connection to it after all these years Ken. You posting it this week is particularly special too with the "paving" of the Little Sluice. My first and really only time driving that 40 was in the Little Sluice back in what.............1998!?!?? I think. The driverside quarter panel is still showing the results of my driving I see.
I love seeing all of your trucks Ken (hint: you need to post more often) but my favorite will always be the 40.
Hey Adam, I thought of you as we rolled near SLC over Labor Day. We were around Hole in the Rock Road and SRS. Found out gifu/Brian sold the 40 to Henry, so it has been in cruiserhead hands for a long time.
I am tearing into the hilux now to rebuild some things and make ready for the mercedes 5cyl motor, then onto FJ454 and the '64 FJ40 ('64 BJ42 it will be) and somewhere in there get some more work done on the '79 40. :Wow1:
So pics will come slow as long as I have a shop to work in.
I guess these can go up from our Labor Day week trip to S Utah.
'Just returned from the Southeastern Overland Workshop and Rally in Murphy, NC. 'Had a great time and drove on some great trails with beautiful sights.
