That looks SWEET! I so want one of those.... Some day... some day.
What did the tongue and total weight come to in the end?

I'll try to remember to get the tongue weight after it's loaded but the overall weight will have to wait for a scale to pop up conveniently.

...and I fit through the door just fine, Dendy. :coffeedrink:
I bought a pair of Costco tri-fold mats yesterday and we stuck them in the trailer. They're 36x77 and fold quickly and easily in 3 (hence the "tri" in tri-fold); makes it much easier to secure the payload inside during travel and access the underbed storage.
Plus they're firmer than the supplied mattresses.

If you've been bottoming-out on a camping mattress, give these things a try. Not foam in them; some sort of spun batting. Probably made from shredded soda bottles... ...but they sleep well.

Interior shots; we slept in it last night.
The new Costco mattress blows away the one that came with it.

Looks great in and out!

Thanks.

Been finding details that weren't thought out so well.

1) the drink-holders by the headboard are in the perfect location to poke your brains out if you've got a water bottle in them at night. Gotta move them.

2) the landing gear in back can't come up without bonking the license plate; Chris took the feet off them and explained that he did it for improved departure angle...

3) the tail lights don't seem to be long for this world. There must be something a bit more hardy that I can mount.

4) the license plate bracket flaps around like crazy; it's very wimpy. Is there a spring-mounted one that I can get?

5) there was no consideration given to dry goods storage in the galley at all. It needs to have bins and/or drawers. I looked at the relation of this area to the inside cabinets and it would've been a simple matter to build a few drawers and cabinets and have the interior cabinets come in a bit more to compensate.

I'd love to be able to redesign it now that I've had my hands on it for a while. The builders obviously never made one to be off the grid for an extended period.

On the tail lights, though maybe not an easy fix, could you cut out just below the galley in the diamond plate and add some led oval lights ?
for the spring license plate, how about one off of an 80's car with the gas filler behind the plate ?

it is a great looking trailer.

will the redesigned components be part of the "Hilldweller" package for any future Little Guy trailers?

Looks great

hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it.

I'm still thinking about the redesign ideas, including the under-bed storage. Those huge panels have to morph into smaller panels on hinges to be useful.

And another issue ---- weight. I gave it the one-arm tongue test and I couldn't lift it. I could barely lift it with two hands; I'm pretty sure this puppy is exceeding the JK's safe towing weight.
I thought it would have armor over the suspension bits and little here and there; it has a solid steel plate running in a giant "V" from end to end. The jockey wheel is overwhelmed by the weight and binds when you try to turn the trailer in the garage...

It has brakes on it; I just have to get the parts for the Jeep to integrate the two systems.

Mike, have you ever done that?

All you need is a brake controller for the Jeep, very simple to install.

I assume the brakes are already wired on the trailer?

Flush mount a set of LED tail/stop lights somewhere

Just about any big box Chevy had a spring loaded license plate holder on the rear, Im pretty sure 4WP has them also.
