Lone Peak Overland

I am guessing you had seen Baum Outdoors video? Im upfront with any questions. I have had 3 people reach out that had the same issue (Think I am at 63 sets sold total), I originally had the magnets inset a bit to not make any contact with the handle itself, but after the first one was brought to my attention, I made some changes and the magnets are flush and should stick directly to the handles now. I have sent replacements to everyone who had issues, and have not heard back from any that the issue occurred again. Tested them for a month before offering them, and still have the original set on my truck (4 months, 10k miles) and have had no issues. I believe its just some trucks aerodynamics make the wind come around and hit the handles at a certain angle. 2 have had issues on a tacoma, and one on an f250 I believe.

Sorry I dont get online much, so just saw the question! Hope everyone is stoked on having or getting their camper, has made trail sleeping much more enjoyable for us!

I’ve been having the flapping issue also. In my case it’s only on the side I have my awning on. I believe the mounted awning couses some weird turbulence. It flapped pretty much the entire 2000 mile trip I just took the the Southwest.
it actually started to wear away the finish on my hatch door.

Maybe you could offer an option with stronger magnets?

I think I’m going to try buying a very thin stronger magnet and try to inset it flush in the bottom of the flap.

Still very happy with them. They kept the mud and dust out of the locks and make it look very finished.

Shoot me a message on Etsy, and I can send out a set with the magnets flush, and we can see if that takes care of the problem

Thanks for that.

And to be 100% clear for everybody here reading this, I am not saying anything bad about the product at all. It works 100% as advertised and I am very happy with them.

The flutterimg I am experiencing is 100% because of the awning that I mounted.

I would 100% buy these again and recommend them to anybody who has a LPC..

Not sure if anyone can answer this, but I have the power plate, battery, and 1 solar panel. I have noticed at 100% battery I get 4-5 loud beeps from the inverter and it shuts down for a few seconds but then powers back up. I am running a fridge off of it only when it has happened, it will do this for an hour or so on/off on/off then go back to normal full operation after I turn lights on, or add more power consuming items. I assume the warning is a full charge protection, but how do I manage the solar input in the first place so it stops charging?

So any reports about how these are holding up or issues?

I have had mine for about a month and a half. I have spent seven nights in it so far. I have a rather early production number and I had one item that they had to send me a replacement for. It was a quick and easy process.

They have been really proactive with identifying some improvements they can make. Their YouTube channel has mentioned some revised parts for the mounting system.

I would assume if you have not yet received yours, the new ones are having these updates implemented already.

I would not hesitate to recommend this camper to anybody. The build quality is great. Plenty of room inside. The price is definitely right.

Has anyone had trouble getting the accessories
they ordered at the confirmation call that we’re not available at install day?

When I went to pick up mine, the awning brackets I had paid for were not available. As well as the locking pins for the top.

I was a bit irritated that they had not mentioned that before I had picked it up. I was leaving on a trip the following weekend and needed to mount my awning before I went. I ended up having to order some generic awning mounts and butcher them just to make them work for the trip before mine were sent to me.

I understand there may be some supply chain issues for some items, but they should tell people in advance. So if you have something you particularly need I would specifically ask to see if it’s available when you schedule your Install.

The same thing happened to me, no locks which is not that big of a deal, but the awning brackets, just like you I have to have them. Did they finally send the brackets or are you still waiting? ive been waiting since June 18th to get mine. when did you get yours?

I received my brackets around….mid July I would guess? I don’t honestly remember. It was a few weeks after I picked my camper.

Leaving Olympia area in about an hour for install. Hope everything goes smooth. Unfortunately I won’t have a chance to camp as I am in the middle of construction projects at home. With any luck I’ll get a night or two in it at the end of the month.
