Lone Peak Overland

Congrats! You’ll love it. I’m headed out tomorrow to spend a couple days at Lake Tahoe camping in mine.
So jealous. If I wasn’t in the middle of roofing my house we’d be at camp right now. Not sure where though. The spot I had picked out is literally on fire right now. Have to find another spot to get some fly fishing and camping in. I did go play with the light bar for a bit. Insanely bright. Should be more than enough for my needs.

Got my call with Kecia scheduled for Tuesday, getting close!! Can’t believe it’s already here, with everyone posting all this great content about how happy they are with their camper and how nice Lone Peak was to work with, well worth the wait!

So any reports about how these are holding up or issues?
I'll be doing a 6 month review on my camper here in a couple weeks. I've got over 30 nights in the camper so far. No major issues to report. If you watch YouTube at all, can check my channel for any info you please. I've got no affiliation to them, so I don't hold back if I have issues. I've got to plan a trip over to get my rear hatch replaced, early campers had an issue with the rear window chipping. Havnt scheduled it yet, as it's a 5 hour drive for me to go over there.

My window seems to have a small chip in it as well. It’s a lot longer of a drive for me so I may not worry about it for quite a while.

I’ve been very busy trying to get my truck all fitted out to go camping for about a month in the sierra’s. I thought I’d pass this mod I did on my Titan. That bar you get with the camper to keep it square in shipment and installing, I removed the tabs on the end turned the channel down against my tailgate top and drilled 4 holes through the top of the tailgate and I aligned the back door in the locked position so now when it shuts there isn’t any flexing inward of the door. It gives a better dust seal so you don’t have to have the camper door so tight that it makes it hard to open. It doesn’t ruin the bar in anyway and if you really need it, it wouldn’t take to long to take it off. I know some trucks wouldnt be able to do this because of their truck configuration, but it is way more secure than without it. You might have to shorten or get a little longer bolts depending on your vehicle. This is for you Tyler at ULAG, maybe you could get that 3D printer fired up and make some end caps that are the same size and thickness of the original pieces but just to cover the end only, that would provide a good seal at the ends. If you do let me know, I’d be happy to “test” them. I just wanted to mention that I purchased ULAG handle covers and they are really slick, nice job, Tyler.

That’s a great tip.

Believe a few have had issues that the shipped the door to them to replace. Not sure it you are on any of the fb groups but I belive Brad had the issue and they sent him a new rear door

Looks pretty nice. Love the way it sits on tacoma. Have you changed your suspension?
Stock suspension so far. Squats a little but not to noticeable. Drives great and don’t even notice it is there. Interim suspension mods might be airbags until I can outfit with Dobinson MRR and bigger tires. First tank of gas looks like I lost about 1.5 MPG. Not as bad as I thought.
