Rather than floating a “recently heard” comment, can you provide direct evidence* of the defect?

Post #94 in this thread on TW:

Also go to his IG @pnw_rodeo (or FB Owners page for LP) and watch his August 23rd post showing the issue in full.

And just a massive LOL about a lawsuit. Jesus.

Has anyone made a shade/curtain for the rear window? I have a couple of ideas on what I want to do, but I was just checking to see if anyone else has already done it and how.

Thanks!

it is very unclear which camper is being discussed in those posts. The posts surrounding post 94 are referencing a different brand camper. Not Lone Peak. Post 94 is simply one person’s observations of what he thinks based on what he saw. No actual data points.

There are, however, several hundred (or more at this point) of these campers out in the field being used, and there are no reports of them breaking as you have stated.

I have recently heard about issues with the front cantilevered section 'slapping' off of the tent lid due to extreme levels of deflection in that beam while driving offroad.

You're likely lucky. This product is poorly designed and is unlikely to survive rigorous use for any length of time.
