Looking for some ideas on a water system. Could be as simple as a couple 5 gallon jugs with a 12 volt submersible pump to ??

Thus far the pumps I`ve found are all larger then the 1.375 opening in the jugs.

How did you do yours ?

Thanks !!

if there is more to the top, maybe you can make something gravity fed instead so you don't have to deal with supplemental power.

Not a bad idea.

Yes there is more to the top. Currently in process of adding detachable Unistrut "wings" to the current cross bars. The main top is 48 x 60. Adding a 24 x 60 extension to both sides. This will give me a full 8 x 6 top to mount a freestanding tent.

Hopefully will have pictures next week.

In any case the gravity feed might just be the ticket, thanks !!

I have an aluminum gas tank that I thought would make a good water tank. http://www.dansperformanceparts.com/buggy/fuel/buggyfuel1.htm I was also thinking I could use a burner and heat it if I wanted to. I see them for around $50 on CL all the time.

Hmm, an end fill tank might fit well in front of the fenders. Kinda pricey but another good idea. Betcha some searching might turn up a plastic version......

Tie them together with a T fitting and a length of hose. External pump and be good to go.......

Found this on a quick look

Scroll down on the link, there are some poly tanks that are a lot cheaper. These would work well for a gravity fed setup. the petcock is on the bottom.

Bingo,
I use one of the Coleman Expo kitchens. Just need to be sure the tanks would be higher then the sink. Don`t need pressure, just flow.

Tape measure time !!

Thanks !!
