Short length of chain with padlock solves that. They also make a set of mounting pins that accept small padlocks.

Yep, our mounting pins come with a provision to use a small padlock.

I have your mounting pins, but the padlock holes are too small for my preferred locks. That's why my Trax are chained to the roof rack with more secure locks. Something to think about for the next design iteration.

TSA locks work great, but you're right, larger padlocks aren't accommodated due to a design constraint.
